Illustration Friday: Poise
While I was going to college I worked part-time in a deli. It was a challenge to keep one's head poised a certain way as you tried to mask your contempt for your job and the terrible attitudes of the customers you had to serve.

This picture made me smile. (I was going to say "grin my head off" but given the content here, that seems a little dangerous.) Such a waste to have to work jobs where one has to pretend not to hate every second of it.

Thanks everyone. It is really difficult coming up with something for these topics each week and when I looked up the definitions for poise I noticed one definition using it as the way you carry your head, as a play on words I thought of one carrying a head around. I did work in a deli and the customers' demands and how much food was wasted because of them made me want to be a better customer.
